Trick Shot

April 14, 2015 by JJ Koester in Perpetual Film Fest

When a father goes to retrieve his son from the clutches of an evil ... well, we never know what he does beyond 'be evil' ... he finds out that it'll take more ... well, we never really know what the family does well except for the daughter who is... ummm... Good at guessing things? Sponsored by Canon and clearly flush with money they team isn't quite sure what to do with, this film is a breezy stroll down con-artist lane.

With such a middling review, it seems almost as if we shouldn't run this film. But, it does something right that is rare in short filmmaking. It has a 3rd act that brings together all he ingredients that were smattered throughout the first two acts.

Ice Block was not involved in the production of this short film.
